Over 100 native endemic rainforest species, some of which are threatened with extinction. We plant everything from creekside shrubs to emergent trees that extend high above the canopy - restoring diverse, complex subtropical rainforest.
The ecosystem we are working to restore is listed as critically endangered.

  • Written agreement with landholders: Landholders agree to not remove the trees in their lifetime and give notice of this agreement to any succeeding landholder/s.

  • Local council development control: A Vegetation Management Plan (VMP) is required for all developments including land clearing. High Environmental Value (HEV) vegetation, such as the threatened ecological community we plant, is excluded from development envelopes. VMPs require thorough ecological surveys and have strict conditions that aim to regenerate native vegetation.

  • Federal government legislation: Plantings that have stature and quality that is reflective of the Lowland Rainforest of Subtropical Australia ecosystem description are protected under Australia's national environment law - the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act). This is the highest level of environmental protection in Australia.

Trees are maintained by our team for approx. 3 years until they are self-sufficient at fighting weed competition. Maintenance costs are generally covered by landholders.
